One the natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls is situated right on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Twice as high and one and a half times as wide as Niagara, the Victoria Falls is divided into five separate falls, the Devils Cataract, Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls and the Eastern Cataract, ranging in height from 60 metres - 110 metres. The peak flow is usually around mid-April when the spray can rise 450 metres into the air, hence the name, 'the smoke that thunders'.
The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta on Earth and its fertile beauty is breath-taking. What many people don’t know is that Botswana is actually mostly arid and is almost entirely covered by the Kalahari Desert. Perhaps this is why a Botswana safari in the Okavango Delta is so appealing - you can experience wonderfully diverse natural environments – the dense concentration of game along the waterways of the Okavango, as well as the harsh survival of desert-dwelling creatures.
Chobe National Park is situated on the Chobe River in the northern part of Botswana and borders the Moremi Game Reserve in the south. Home to arguably the largest elephant population in the world and great numbers of other game species, visitors to the region can expect to experience a truly magnificent African safari. This park includes the riverine forest, floodplain, periodic marsh, mopane and miombo woodland. Such a diversity of habitats attracts a stunning variety of wildlife.
The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience second to none and is the ideal travel destination for a luxury safari to Africa. This vast reserve offers pristine wilderness areas and is home to more mammal species than any other reserve in Africa.
